M.Sc. Industrial Mathematics with Computer Applications

Eligibility
B.Sc. Mathematics or Any Science Graduate with Mathematics at least up to second year with 50% marks for Open and 45% marks for Reserved Category (as per Eligibility document of SPPU).
M.Sc. (IMCA)
The course was started in 2003 with the view of identifying the extensive applications of Mathematics in Computer Science. The course mainly focuses on building a strong background in mathematics along with providing a strong exposure to designing, analyzing, and deploy Software Systems. It is a highly interdisciplinary and challenging course for students who wish to pursue challenging opportunities in emerging areas of Software Industry.

- Pure Mathematics: Real Analysis, Advanced Calculus, Abstract Algebra, Complex Analysis, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Discrete mathematics-I, Discrete Mathematics-II, Statistical Inference etc.
- Applied Mathematics & Statistics: Applied Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Dynamical Systems, Probability Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Optimization Techniques, Digital Image Processing, Applied Geometry for Computer Graphics using CAD, Cryptography, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Computational Intelligence
- Computer Science: Experiential Training lab courses in C, C++, Databases, Data Structures using C++, JAVA, Python, Web UI/UX, Compiler Construction, Theoretical Computer Science, Introduction to Blockchain, Cloud Computing and Edge Computing
- Research Project
- Industrial Training: Mandatory in Semester IV which carries 8 credits with Project Completion and Documentation with a period of 4-6 months
- Skill Development Courses: Cyber Security, LATEX, Scilab, Programming with R, Human Rights, An Introduction to DevOps, Machine Learning, GitHub

Workshops & Other Activities
- A number of Interdisciplinary Sessions & workshops are conducted every year to keep the students updated with the current trends and latest technologies.
- The College conducts PMRF Sessions jointly with Research Scholars from IISER Pune to give an exposure to the students with Academic Research.
Placements
The college provides 100 % assistance for internship to students at the Final Year Students.This includes a Pre-Placement Activity (lectures and Workshops) which are organized by Industry Experts along with one on one mock Interview Sessions.

Over the last few years, our students have played a key role in several Interdisciplinary Projects & Activities, which include:
