The Alumni Meet 2024 for the BA 1974 batch

Fergusson College, Pune, proudly hosted the Alumni Meet 2024 for the BA 1974 batch, a heartwarming celebration of nostalgia and cherished memories. The event was held in the Bai Jerbai Wadia Library, where the distinguished alumni gathered to relive the golden days of their college life. The occasion commenced with a warm welcome for the alumni, followed by heartfelt introductions and reminiscences of their college days. Their energy and enthusiasm were palpable as they explored the campus, their eyes gleaming with joy upon revisiting the places where they spent some of the best years of their lives. The event was graced by Fergusson College’s Officiating Principal, Dr. Vijay Tadake; Governing Body Secretary, DES & Vice Principal, Smt. Swati Joglekar; Governing Body Member, Dr. Vinaykumar Acharya; Vice Principal, Dr. Radhika Jadhav; and Dr. Prakash Pawar. Prominent alumni shared stories of their remarkable journeys, attributing their achievements to the foundation laid by Fergusson College. They spoke passionately about how the college, particularly its library, played a pivotal role in shaping their lives and careers. Notable attendees included:

• John Ciramel, former head honcho of several multi-National Companies
• Mukti Sanyal, former Principal of a prestigious college in Delhi

As a token of appreciation, the Officiating Principal presented the alumni with a Fergusson College picture frame and magazine. In turn, the alumni honoured the college dignitaries with saplings, symbolizing growth, legacy, and their enduring bond with their alma mater. Adding to the significance of the event, the BA 1974 batch inaugurated a Smart Board, marking a step forward in technological advancements for the institution. This gesture highlighted their commitment to the continued growth of Fergusson College.
