Fergusson Jr. College has SIX grantable (Aided College) divisions and ONE non-grant (Unaided College) division for Science Stream, each division having capacity of 120 seats.

For Science stream following subjects are available:

XI-Science

Ø Compulsory Subjects

1. English

2. Physics

3. Chemistry

4. Environmental Science(EVS) (Grade subject)

5. Health and Physical Education(HPE) (Grade subject)

AND

Choose any 3 subjects from either Group 1 OR Group 2 given below

Group 1

Choose any two subjects

1. Biology

2. Mathematics

3. Geography

Choose any one subject (Second Language or IT)

Information Technology

Group 2

1. Mathematics (100 marks, compulsory)
2. Vocational (Bifocal ) Subject (2 papers 100 marks each)

Bifocal subjects available(choose any one)

a) Electronics (Grantable)

b) Electronics (Non-Grantable)

c) Electrical Maintenance (Grantable)

d) Scooter Motor Servicing (Grantable)

e) Mechanical Maintenance (Grantable)

Computer Science(Non-Grantable)

In all, a student has to take total 8 subjects. So, apart from 5 compulsory subjects, a student has to choose 3 more subjects, from the available subject combinations as per the above table.

For aided i.e Grantable Divisions :-

From 6 aided science divisions with total capacity of 720 seats, 470 seats are of General Science and remaining 250 seats are of Bi-focal course.

For Un-aided i.e. Non-Grant Division :-

There is 1 un-aided division with capacity of 120 seats. From these 75 seats are of Bifocal course and remaining 45 seats are of General Science (Only Maths, Bio & IT subjects are available for these 45 seats)

**Important Note

As per the Government rules and norms, bifocal admissions are done after the General Science admissions in college. So, if student wants to select any bifocal course, student will first choose General Science subjects and then can go for Bifocal subject of his/her choice if it gets allotted in the Bifocal admission process. If student doesn’t get Bifocal subject, his/her admission will be continued in General Science with General Science subjects.
